I have always been a hired Nanny. I grew up loving and caring for the babies, the toddlers, the young boys and girls in my family, I have a BIG family. I loved it so much I just knew that’s what I wanted to do ALL my life. I studied child care in college, and couldn’t wait for my first position as a Nanny. Well……… it turned out much different than I expected.
Parents waited to call me for my help and expertise until it was already too late. The damage had been done. The babies had already been ruined. The toddlers were beyond repair. The little boys and girls were stressed, feeling guilty, humiliated, nearly out-of-control with the strange things they wanted to do. (I had a 12yo boy, who insisted on wearing diapers under his clothes, no matter how much I punished him. Just a small example of what I’ve seen.)
You poor baby, ignored, left alone in your crib, in dirty diapers, to cry yourself to sleep. No one came when you woke in the night, your rich Mum & Dad were too busy with their partying lifestyle to come to you. No Mummy to care for you, she gave birth to you, then didn’t know what to do with you. So she went back to her drinking & drugs and left you to fend for yourself. You had little nurturing, no soft touch. By the time I’m called, the bedwetting has begun, the tantrums, thumb sucking, eating with your fingers, the bad behavior goes on and on!
I’ve hardened over the years. I’m now a stern disciplinarian, I have to be. I use methods that were not taught to me in college. I’m a punisher now. I will stand you in the corner with your nose against the wall. I will give you STRICT lectures. I will rage upon you with a bare ass strapping if that is what is called for. As you can see, I’m not a small woman, I can handle even the Biggest Baby.
